1. What tasks have been completed, and what tasks remain?
The project was changed after week 12. The calculated project was finished before presentation. The was lot of confusion between the process that should use. But in the the end all worked pretty good.The Circuit part is done without any failure. All it remain is the Automatic part. The current automation program is quite slow. So need to build a better algorthm for the robot to move more independently.
2. What has worked? what hasn't?
I entire motion of the robot gone as designed. But The joints were tighten up as it is moving. So I added spacers and more nuts
The bo-motors can' handle the force.So I have replaced it with metal gear motor with 10RPM
Sharp sensor is not worked properly. So I have replaced with IR sensors.
3. What questions need to be resolved?
I need to know the number of legs for the smooth movement of the Mechabeest
4. What will happen when?
The project consists of a moving mechanism and an android app which is fabricated using MIT app Inventer. The movement like forward, backword, left, right can be controlled using app by coonecting via bluetooth.
Also it have a sensor guided navigation system which helps to move without any controls
5. What have you learned?
I had difficuties in learning code before I came here. Now I can write my own codes.
I learned design softares like Fusion 360, Inkscape, EagleCAD etc. in a short period of time
I can reverse engineer stuff.
After 6 months I'm good at making a website by my own.
My documentation skills have improved.
Now these days I can see the ways to make a product when I see it.
It helped me to build my own dream to reality
